When i first pulled at the Armada Fair i had painted the new muffler with VHT high heat silver paint !!!!!
I cleaned the surface with prep solvent and everything, it looked great.
When the tractor went under load [ on the transfer sled ] the paint started coming off in large sheets. When the tractor couldn't go any farther and i unhitched i was covered in large flakes of silver paint.
We all laughed at the fact i was covered in sheets of silver paint.
The only paint we have found that last and won't come off is Bar-b-que paint [flat black].
I know that is spelled incorrect but you get the point.
It works great on exhaust manifolds as well, it won't burn off.
