My hydraulics quit the other day and got some tips to check out from my other post. I checked it out today. I pulled the filter and it was full of a lot of metal. I pulled the pump. The pump turned over smooth and from looking in the ports it looks good. I turned it over by hand and I could feel the suction on one side. I put the pump back in and a new filter. I dumped in 5 gal of oil and fired it up. There isnt any grinding noise like before, but still no hydraulics. I dumped more oil in(still about 1/2 gallon low). Now the grinding noise starts up but still no hydraulics. Now, the 3 point hitch really wont work at all. It did work, but slow, before the filter change. The pto turns and I looked up at the clutch and the splines on the pto drive shaft are fine, and the shaft is turning. Any ideas? Are there any other gears between the pto shaft and the hydraulic pump gear that could have broken teeth?
