I just bought a Farmall 450 LP for two reasons. The head and the tires. You may have seen it recetly on "Echo Bravo Alpha Yankee" out in Colorado. The dilemma I have is that this tractor runs great and the tach works. It has 2700 original hours on it. The transmission is smooth as silk. The engine runs very smooth. It was almost out of fuel when i got it. I had to pull the regulator and the what I think is called an evaporator, place a carb on it and use a one gallon gas tank to drive it around. The steering is nice and tight. The brakes have alot of adjustment left. My dilemma is what to do. Do I use and sell it for parts or build it back up as a gas tractor. I have a 450 that I bought that was stuck very tight. I have still not attempted to get those pistons out. But with that 450 I have all the parts I need to make this one a very low hour 450 gas. With all that said, it seems like restoring and selling a tractor is a good way to lose money if your time is worth anything. Let me know what you think.
