Well guys I finally got around to capping the tranny lines from the hydro and ran it until it was good an warm. The results were not good. After the oil was good and warm I tried to climb the ditch and couldn't get up it in high range forward or reverse or low range forward. I could get up the ditch in low range reverse only. From what I've been told here that means the problem is likely not in the controls if it slips when the lines are capped. Anyone got any suggestions what to do next? Are there any other diagnostics I can do without tearing into the guts or do my next steps all involve wrenches and cursing? I hate to put a lot money into the wrong parts if it's the hydro that will have to be replaced in the long run. Any suggestions where to go from here would be appreciated.
