Yesterday i was shown a Td6 that the owner said he was going to have hauled off for scrap, Its in okay condition ive seen worse come back from the dead, it was used to dig 3 foundations then parked where it sits in the 70's it has the exhuast covered but that doesnt mean its not stuck i didnt even check, he said if i could move it i could have it but i would give him something for it becuase i dont expect it for nothing from where i sat on the side of the dozer i could not pull the clutches, My question is , is it worth my time to try and ressurect this beast or should i pass on it, I really feel that its in to good conditon to go to scrap but i know nothing about these diesels, especially the ones that start on gas and switch to diesel, where should i start? please give me some opinions
