Couple of days back Mark asked about multi-row cultivators for these tractors. I've had tool bar cultivators for 51 years. When these were new, they consisted of two 60 or 72 inch tool bars, going from one side to the other and mounted to the same lift frames as used on the F-144 cultivator.
Over the years and with the addition of fast hitch, I've made numerous modifications. Gone are the days of a dozen or more shanks at center mount. Gone are the days of two tool bars up front, I currently only use one in most applications. The only tools I have up fron are 1 shank each side of each row. The 3rd addition was modern day Danish S-tines, much less expensive to maintain than IH ground working tools. I still have and use IH tools in some applications, mainly on my front tool bar. I am attaching 3 photos, one is clamps used to clamp tools to 1.5" square tool bar, second is the adaption of S-times and the third is rear S-tine cultivator that can be used in rows or for seedbed prep. I have an assortment of sweeps and points for S-tines.
Last month I purchased a 4 row tool bar cultivator off a Super C. Basically two of the same units that came with my 130. This SC had double lift frames on each side, thus the two units met at center of tractor. I bought this unit for the clamps, shanks and tool bars. I don't have photos yet of the shanks on this cultivator. I have used them and Mark there are sweeps in that group that don't toss soil on small crops. By the the way, I don't row crop cultivate my garden. I just finished cultivating 103 acres of commercial cabbage, two 34" rows with tractor on 68" wheel tread. Think these little tractors can't compete, guess again, I was under 50 hours. By the way I was called in as a GPS machine could not handle the weeds generated by massive rainfalls.
