Person in the wanted ads on this site wanted a small part one time. It wasn't worth to much to me and we agreed on $5.00 for it. Told him I would just send it and he could pay. Never saw the money and called back one time to ask if he was satisfied with the part. Answer was yes and that he forgot to send payment. 3 years or more has past and still no pay. Figured it was worth the $5.00 to find out what kind of person he was. Not the end of story though, around a year ago a part was for sale I wanted so I sent the money and never saw the part. Come to find out later it was the same person using a different name and contact information. Still I consider myself lucky with most dealings.

Today's Featured Article - Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
