Depends what you have for a carb. There's not much you can do with the mag. If the carb has only the adjustment needle for the idle circuit (the one sort of near the corner between the body and the upper neck) there's not much you can do with that, either. If it has the second screw for the load circuit near the front end of the body, you could play with that some.
It doesn't sound like you're havin' ambitions of bein' a career puller -- just want to see what it will do. If that's the case and it's running right for the way you use it, I'd load it up and go just as is and not tinker with a thing. Don't get discouraged if the winners in the class are runnin' a bunch of suped up tractors with weights hangin' in odd places all over 'em. Treat it like a round of golf, play against yourself and see how you do. If you want to tune it up a little for that kind of thing, talk to some of the other pullers there that are running tractors more similarly equipped to yours, as opposed to the ones who push the limits on what is farm/stock. You might pick up a few good ideas from them, as well as anybody that chimes in on the thread here that runs that way.
I see Bs and BNs both ways, with stamped wheels or cast, but most seem to be cast and that weight is an advantage. You'd do better with a set of wheel weights bolted on if you don't have them already, and still have time to find some, but that'd be about all I'd do.
I still want to take my BN to a pull, as is, for pretty much the same thing, just to see what it will do. Just have to get off my can and do it. All the better if they have a dyno at the show. That'd give you some baseline number to work from if you did want to modify or turn her up a bit.
