thanks Dave, we tried. took most of today to take apart, clean and put back together. not a single sign of brake on either side. is now on the trailer and headed for the repair shop. might have saved myself a few dollars because everything is free and clean. downside is bloodloss and agravation. on the serious side though, thanks for your help. steve
