The Chinese now hold the rights to the old WW2 military BMW R-71. You can find them being sold as new motorcycles on eBay and elsewhere. There have been some changes made over the years such as OHV heads. I think a complete new sidecar rig fetches $4000-$5000 from an importer.
An interesting note is that Harley-Davidson made 1003 copies of the same motorcycle during WW2. Indian had something similar at the time but looked more like a Moto-Guzzi. A nice H-D XA will bring about $30,000 today. Both Jay Leno and I each own one but we could never get that kind of money. Both bikes need alot of work, albeit his bike runs. I have owned my since 1987 and have no excuses for its current condition.
