The under side (crank) is not frozen. Unles it was living in water, then there is no recovery except complete rebuild. Pulling the plugs and putting a half cup of auto trans fluid in each hole, then waiting for several days can be wonderful. Bumping the starter with a good battery will break it loose. Do not hold it on start, just repeated bumping for 14 second, repeated 5 to 8 times, then walk away. Watch the fan. if it begins to turn, do not continue to turn it. Remove the plugs and then try it. (oil does not compress, and needs to be free to leave through the Spark plug holes.) Good luck. JimN
