If you decide to drain it, I recommend you drain out 1 gal of oil, and add 1 gal of diesel fuel. Drive it around, no load in 4th gear for 0 minutes. Then drain all the old oil and fuel. That old oil is pretty nasty at the bottom of the case. This will loosen up the sludge.
