There is a LOT of info on the Paint and Bodywork forum on this site, much more than you will find here. Yes, it is best to disassemble the tractor. The factory paint was not very good. As to the decals, you apply them then peel off the part between the letters. Easier to apply and longer lasting than mylar. Some don't like them because they were not original.
