Jwa110, Thank you for your comment....question on the wear surfaces...they were really rusty ...I removed the rust (glaze?) & the surfaces is pretty rough & has some shallow pitting.....how smooth is "smooth".....just I have have then machined?This brake assembly oviously has not working in some time ...I am talking about only the right brake operating assembly....the left one is in prety good shape with only minor surface blemishs & no pitting. I hope I can figure how to reassembly ...I did not pay as close attention as I should have when I took them out of the housings. I am not sure how they fit bacj=k in the housing & where the spring inside the housing attaches to the operating assembly. Any & all help would be appreciated!!!
