Guys -
Have a F-20 that I purchased last Fall. Rebuilt the head and have good compression. Under a load, it runs very smoothly. No load and driving down the road, it missed a lot.
Conversations here indicated changing the Champion W-18s with Autolite 3077s.
I did that the other day, cranked it up, and was amazed how smooth it ran now. Thanks for the advice.
Question though: These plugs have a long electrode extending from the ceramic, and the grounding wire, out of the box, is formed so the spark is gapped and jumps to the side rather than off the end of the electrode. Is this the way these are supposed to be installed, or should the grounding wire be reformed to spark off the end of the electrode?
