Last week my hand crank coupler on my H mysteriously self healed itself and freed up, so when I went to the show at Elnora this past weekend, first thing I did was look for a hand crank. Found a nice one and cranked it up. Quite a pull with the firecrater pistons in it but thank God it starts easy! Then I found a nice large dia belt pully and bolted it on. Belted up to the Baker fan and spun it pretty good and tuned the carb up for best RPM under load, but I also found out how bad the bearings are in the belt pulley housing. REAL BAD! Then later that day I pulled a shuttle wagon around the grounds. Later that night went to the exhibitor fun pull and dragged the sled about 110 ft. Not bad for an H with no water in tires and only one set of wheel weights. It spun out with plenty of power to go so I may have to get another set of wheel weights and hit a few more buffet dinners. Sunday afternoon I hooked up to the disc they had out there and gave the plow field a dressing up. I really needed a drag behind the disc but you work with what you have and I got most of the humps and furrows levelled off half way ok. Half of the field is sandy and the other half black muck clay. Amazing how different they are to work. Ol' H pulled the disc easily in 4th gear. Real fun show to go to if anyone has never been there before it really is worth a trip.

"Run in the house and get me a...."as I open th
