You need a charcoal mask with dust filters. Don't try the "surgical" or paper masks. They don't filter out much of anything. Unless you have had previous lead exposure or removed a lot of paint, I doubt if the lead content is your problem. I get somewhat "woozy" if I don't wear my mask. But, it is never a good idea to be around lead dust in particular or any type dust in general without a mask.
