We purchased a 706D w/ 310 engine this summer to use as an auger tractor. All the lights had been removed from the flattop fenders & wiring cutout. I started the other day to replace the lights & wiring but when I took the cover off the dash it was evident there had been an electrical fire. Most of the damage was just in the light wiring but there were some other wires that the previous owner had cut out. Main wiring harness appears to be in decent shape.
So far I have replaced the fuse holder, ran new wires to it, replaced the light switch light switch and have power to that point. Problem is from there. There are several wires that have been cut on the left side of the tractor and others that were burnt off.
Our CIH partsman gave me a copy of the wiring schematic & a copy of the fender fender wiring harnesses but I would like to find something that shows the wiring in better detail & was wondering if anyone had a source that they could direct me to. I did have a link to Bob M's wiring diagrams but it no longer works. Does someone have a good link or has he taken his site down. How about any others
