The "tank" itself between an MD and an H are the same. The mounting brackets welded on to it are COMPLETELY different.
And H uses a 2 bolt flat mounting bracket welded right to the tank. An MD uses a 4 bolt stepped bracket, and then straps to hold the tank to the bracket. I was looking for a tank for a long time. I found lots of MD's in the junk yards near me, but discovered I couldn't use their starting tanks for my H.
