i use champion D16 but everybody says their junk, i have found more rejects in prestolite though so i am sticking with what the tractor came with. i used to like blue sreak products but it seems hard to get. original IHC is good. sparkplugs-.025 points-.020 w/ dist. check voltage across batt. terminals at fast idle , around 7.5 volts is good. check your timing, and adjust carb. good idea to adjust your valves also , as the clearances decrease with wear in the valve seats. set to .017 hot. if your just puttering around with the tractor and not working it too hard go with one range hotter spark plug.
