When I picked up my A one of the reasons I got it for the price I did was because it idled fast the guy had a spring from the gov. to the carb to try and slow it down. He had replace the rod also. I married the carb to the gov. and that was all it took. Pull the pin at the turn buckle throttle all the way forward, push the rod back toward the carb as far as it will go and adj. the turn buckle to were the pin slides in without force.
