I don't think kits are available anymore either. Last time I put one in was over 20 years ago and the govenor job cost over $400 and that was with out even having the tractor in shop. The real spendy parts are the weights and carrier and I have had good success with drilling out the weights and carrier and installing a roll pin. You have to drill weights just a tad bigger than carrier so pin is tight in carrier and free in weights and put pin in so pressure point of weight is not on the groove of roll pin. Thrust bearing is expensive also but other internal parts are not bad. If you need the shaft between gov and carb you may have to hunt for one. When these tractors were in heavy use I installed a lot of kits in them. Dyno testing was a good seller for governor overhaul.
