Do the chain under the bucket thing, but leave the 706 in park, so when you pull the chain tight, it only lifts the bucket.
Then, you can use blocking, or pieces of heavy pipe slotted and slipped over the lift cylinders to hold the loader off the ground. Tow the tractor home and remove the loader there, where you have tools and a tree to hang it from.
or, MAKE yourself a tree. All you need are three 6x6s to make a gantry frame, and a few 2x4s and stakes to hold it up.
When towing that 706 odds are you won't have brakes, and the steering will be almost useless. Be careful. I would almost want you to slip a pipe over the chain when you're towing to keep the tractor from crashing into the truck, and so you can use the truck brakes to stop the tractor.
