Just an opinion, but I don't think the M is the best tractor for a true buddy seat. Not a lot of room up there behind that wheel and the seat spring makes it darn hard enough to bail without having seats bolted to fenders. Best tractor I ever saw for one was the Farmall B. Makes a nice backroad cruiser and the extra equipment doesn't impair the operator. Do what you want but stay safe.
