Very easy to disassemble and replace the seals. The small seal for the shift lever usually leaks so replace it while you can. When re-installing the unit, put a pipe over the PTO splines to give you leverage to get the shaft lined up with the drive gear. When installing the PTO shield, check the cap screw length so you don't break a cast ear off the housing.
