I need a new front hub. As you can see (top left) one of my spokes has a crack clean through, so I'm going to replace it. Tomorrow or Saturday I am going to look at a single hub that has been sitting outside for who knows how long.
How important is the condition of the faces of the bearing races? I'm expecting them to be dirty, and probably rusty. If they are pitted, I'm assuming they are no good and that hub isn't usable. Correct?
