I have seen it done a time or two, and there were 2 problmes, but if you don't mind them, you will be ok.
first problem is they will have very little traction due to the lighter weight of the tractor, though depending on slope of ground, etc. that may not be a problem.
2nd, and maybe the worst problem is that due to the stiffness of the sidewalls they will have no give so the ride will be extremely rough if your mowing are is anything less than absolutely smooth. The flexing of the sidewall on a tractor tire absorbs a lot more bumps than most people realize.
