Dellbertt, Yes, the Hydro temp probe is the one going into the touch control tank. When you remove it, you will be draining the fluid out, according to the owners manual, approx. 6 3/4 pints. The 4 bolt plate where the probe mounts is also the strainer for the hydraulic fluid. I replaced both of these on my 53 Super A this past spring, I don't recall the prices, but Scotty's OEM price, I think was a little higher than I paid at my local CNH dealer.
