I have the same setup (340 with 2000 loader) and mine is using the tractor hydraulics with the transmission mounted pump. Changing the filter and fluid really brought mine around. If yours is using the tractor's valves, make sure the selectors are set to single acting for the lift cylinders and double acting for the bucket. The little clip that keeps the selector in place is missing on my bucket valve and it moves to a position in between single and dual, causing the bucket to move slowly. Mine also has an elbow and 3" pipe nipple screwed into the level plug (by the LH foot board) to raise the hydraulic oil level to keep from starving the system. If that doesn't do it, I'd look at the pump and valves.
