Check the archives for different ways to remove the belly pump and reservoir so you can work on it. It's heavy, and top heavy, so it will try to tip over once it's lowered out of the tractor, so be ready.
The coupling on the pump will probably be on there tight, and you have to remove the coupling to replace the seal. Some have been able to get the coupling loose without separating the pump from the resevoir, but mine was on too tight.
Once you have the pump separated from the reservoir, insert a flat piece of steel up the square tube and into the pump gear teeth to keep the shaft from turning, then use a hammer and a short brass rod to loosen the coupling. "Lefty loosey, righty tighty". Mine took a lot of persuasion to loosen up.
Once the coupling if off, the old seal will come out and you can install the new seal.
When reassembling, the control lever can be tricky to get installed correctly so it will activate the pump. Took me a couple of tries before I got it back on correctly.
