a 706 gasser is a great tractor regardeless what some say IF YOU understand them . Over the last twenty some years i have lost count of all that i have bought and sold and if i was selling it on todays market i would want around 5200 for it . Now the only down side to that tractor is the fast hitch in most peoples eyes , But if you have the fast hitch draw bar that hitch will do what no three point will and that is it will get down to ground level and YOU CAN LIFT a piece of equipment up OFF the ground with out a lot of blocking and jacking . The Power adjust wheels were and Option , The other DOWN side to the Gasser is that you must run 93 octane gas in that tractor , Now ifyou are getting the org. owners manual it will tell you tis in Fuel requierments and IF you do what the BOOK says that tractor will run like a sewing machine . My two closest Friend Both run706 gassers that i sold them 18 years ago and i service them and keep them up . I was on one of them today and it always starts no matter the weather and is the prime tractor for our winter use. As we finished up picking corn today and by tuesday of next week the diesels will be put to bed for the winter and the gassers will take ove , So as for a good price on that tractor a bargin would be 3250 and a fair price for the both of you would be 4500.
