I took a look at my 400.
I don't see how you can run a clutch pump like mine above the frame channel. The add-on crankshaft pulley would have to be very small. Probably in the range of 3". That means the pump will only have a maximum RPM of something like 700 RPM. That doesn't give you alot of GPM .
Those that run pumps above the frame seem to be using regular pumps and do it in two ways. The first is with sprockets. The second is using the IH fan belt in a triangular fashion that runs over the crankshaft pulley, water pump pulley, and the hydraulic pump. You are not going to find a clutch pump with that kind of pulley.
One other option is pictured below. This might be a M&W attachment or perhaps Behlen. On this tractor the fan only has 1/16th" clearance before it hits the pump pulley. The fan shroud has been modified. IH had a similar set-up for tractors not equipped with a Hydra-Touch or Lift-All system. I doubt if they chopped up the fan shroud however.
If you want to use a clutch pump, you should think about modifying the aftermarket front end bolster or swap what you have for a genuine IH wide front end as used on my 400. Or go trike.
