Yes, I have been reading posts lately in the archives and lots mentioned about that. I learned long time ago to put in the ear plugs first thing in the morning and take them out when you walk in the house. I lost some hearing years ago farming with Dad's JD 830 and 4020. I am so religious with ear plugs that they are there every day, all day when around something running. My 1066 does have a cab which helps a little.
