Some IH engines are not sleeved. Cub engines for example. Also the C153, and the C301.
These engines can be sleeved by putting in a thin sleeve that leaves them possibly a bit undersize. Any good engine shop can do it.
If the tractor you buy doesn't smoke, sounds good, and has good power, I would not worry about it. You will not use the tractor enough to wear the engine out in your lifetime unless you're using it as your main tractor to farm full time. That is, doing all the tillage, planting, and harvesting on 40-50 tillable acres. You gotta run that tractor 6-8 hours a day full out to even have a hope in heck of wearing it out.
