Hi Ranch Hand, a couple of possibilities: Is the clutch foot pedal adjustment correct? Is there any noise from clutch area when clutch is depressed, tractor in gear and wheels stopped? If there is squealing noise then could be pilot bearing or release bearing or part of a broken pressure plate spring causing problems.
There is an inspection plate that can be removed on bottom of clutch housing to have a look see. Be careful, be sure to set parking brake and block rear wheels before open inspection plate.
