Pull No1 sparkplug near the radiator and bring that piston to TDC on the compression stroke as Gene suggested. Hold your thumb over the plug hole while someone else hand cranks the engine until you feel compression against your thumb. Then drop a LARGE handle screwdriver on top of the piston and watch it rise as someone slowly cranks the engine by hand. When it quits rising you should be at TDC. Then see where the rotor is pointing. If it's not at the No1 plug tower something has jump time. It could be a sheared key on the drive gear on the distributor or a Mag. Could be a timing gear. Hal
