I recently purchased a 240 Utility with the loader and 3point hitch. It developed a bad leak in one of the loader cylinders... which I repaired. Since I have read that hydraulics work better *with* oil, I refilled the tank. Presto, the loader works. But now the hitch no longer works. I move the lever, and *maybe* it goes up or down 10 minutes later, along with Satan's own racket. Mostly though, nothing happens. I am afraid to damage it by running it like this, so it is sitting. The hitch is controlled by a knob next to the seat, and there is a linkage running along the tran under the seat between the hitch and a lever (valve?) by the engine. What gives? Unrelated to the loader leak? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am new to tractors, but having a ball!
