Did you upgrade your 504's 17 gpm hydraulic pump from a lower gpm pump? I have a 340U with the 9 gpm external (camshaft driven) pump that I'd like to put an IH 1701 loader on. I anticipate the 9 gpm is going to be a little sluggish. I'd like to convert it to the IH 11 or 17 gpm internal pump, which originally were factory options, but didn't know if that is possible. The larger size filter is good information, but did you also have to change anything else, such as the control valve internals, etc? Can you just purchase an internal pump and install it, or are there additional components needed? Would you relate your experience, or email me directly?
