I had the 12 gpm pump and it was worn. I replaced it even swap. There are two thicknesses of pump cover gaskets. One is .024 and .018 I think. These are used to shim the pump. I used the .024.
If you are adding this in you may need other parts. The drive gear I am sure is there but when you buy a pump the driven gear is seperate. From IH the driven gear is about $180 and the suction tube was like $50. I was going to replace these for good measure, NOPE! Old went back in and doind fine.
I used 3/4" hose for supply, power beyond, and return lines (pictures below) with all work hoses 1/2", most new tractors have 3/8". I tried using the remotes, but the IH arrangement was clumsy and it used both of my remotes and SLOW. I thought it was the Pioneer couplings, but I have them on the new valve. Only adjustments I had to make was to tweek the priority flow divider to the power steering. It was getting hit hard and I just adjusted till it quit squeeling.
This is the plumbing I did as well as my control tower and 3 spool vavle bank. I bought a 3 spool in case I add a bucket mounted grapple or post hole auger or a third rear remote. Sorry the pics are substandard, I used my cell phone on those a couple years ago.
