In general, mark both ends and the middle so you can get the drive end and the brush end back the way they were. Take the two long bolts out of the back and pull the drive end off. If you don't remove the back end you won't have to deal with getting the brushes over the armature when you put it back together.
Once you get the front end off the old drive will come off and the new one can go on. Put a little smear of grease on the shaft and the bushing in the nose.
