I'n not familiar with the access issues with an ID-6 but there should be a soft plug on each end of the pin. If you can get a sharp punch into the plugs you can work them out. I've never brought the first one out alive. The pin will then come out easily with finger pressure however lots of them have grooves worn in them so you may need to push down on the gearshift lever while working the pin with your fingers. there may be enough room to get a small pair of needle nosed pliers on the end of the pin and only take one soft plug out.
Where you have plenty of room to drive the pin out you will first learn the soft plugs are bigger than the pin so it does not just drive through. You could also damage the transmission cover if you drive on a severely grooved pin without pushing down on the shift lever. I have never had a pin so tight I had to drive it but after getting it loose I usually use the pin to take out the second soft plug.
