Hi JEmery, my brother has a 684 with same D-239 engine with recirculating coolant heater that works really well. The recirculating tank heaters can be purchased at many farm stores in the North. I borrowed a picture of recirculating tank heater(aluminum coloured tank by front axle bolster) on a 574. The cold (lower pipe) goes in the drain plug in the side of the block just above starter and top (hot hose) goes in the water manifold by the thermostat. Just use regular automotive heater hose to make the connections. The bootom of the recirculating tank has to be positioned below the drain plug on the side of the block so thermo flow action will occur.
