IAt one time I owned a IH #100 fasthitch sickle bar mower with 9' bar. Currently own a IH # 1300 3pt sickle bar mower w/ 9' bar. Both are fully mounted with balanced head . The 1300 was also offered in a fasthitch bersion & is an updated version. Balanced head mowers have the sickle driven by a belt so they will mow in any position unlike a pitman drive mower where the bar has to be pretty much flat or you will break the pitman.
I would recomend either one of these models. Go with a fully mounted model as they are easier to manuver & one less thing (tail wheel) to give you problems. Also take up less room to store & can back up closer to things.
