I bought a 464 that had had a 2250 IH loader on it. I would have thought the smaller loader would have been OK but not so. This tractor had had the front bolster broken off the block and the oil pan. It was almost in 2 pieces! But as was said before, it had the swept back front axle. I think a small loader would be OK but with a small bucket and not for big round bales. If all you lost was the axle shaft you were lucky. I had to replace the bolster, the oil pan, the radiator and the water pump but, in the end, I got a nice little tractor for cheap.
