After you have the front end jacked up you can remove the front wheel assembly from the bolster shaft. Then remove the sector gear. Be careful, the shaft will drop out the bottom. There are 2 bushings in the housing and a bearing in the bottom of the shaft.
I just drive the bushings out with a long bar. When you put the new lower bushing back in make sure you have the grease hole lined up with the grease fitting in the bolster housing.
One of the bolts that holds the front wheel assembly to the bolster shaft
has a raised head. This prevents the wheels from turning 360 degrees. Be sure to put the bolt back in the proper location.
Hope this helps. Rollie
Thanks for the info. I will follow your instructions. Where can i get the bushings and bearing? I have searched around on the net but have not had any luck.

To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
