Here's a picture of the starter on my Farmall B. I made the pull rod from as piece of 1/4" rod and made the bracket on the steering wheel frame from a piece of 1/16" x 1" flat stock.
When I purchased my B it didn't have a starter on it. I got one on eBay for a good price and it worked well when I put it on but the saddle mount starter switch was about 15 degrees towards the left (or towards the sediment bowl).
To fix this I took the two long bolts out of the starter case and drilled and tapped new holes at the front of the starter (the part that goes into the bell housing) and put it back together.
The starter does engage when I pull on the rod instead of pushing on it as it's supposed to be, but I don't mind since the choke and throttle work in the opposite direction as my H anyway. I figure I might as well have everything backwards on the B (choke, throttle, gear shift pattern, & starter rod).
