Before putting a 3 point system on your rear entry Farmall C think about how you are going to get on and off your tractor. You may be quite young and agile and don't mind having to crawl over eqipment that is difficult to get around or over to operate your tractor. Three point hitches were designed for side or front entry tractors and not for the letter series Farmalls. Not to say that they won't do the basic mounting and up and down movement they were designed for but I think you are going to lose a lot of the convience you presently have with the proper equipment designed to be compatible with your tractor. I have a Super C with a fast hitch and that hitch is far superior in function and capabilities of any 3 point hitch you are going to be able to put on you C. I don't know what you intend to hook up on your tractor but you might be better off with semi-mount or pull implements for ease of getting on and off your tractor. Just something you should consider and maybe see one with a 3 point implement attached to a C before making a final decision and see what is involved in getting on and off the tractor. I know what I would have to go through in going through a few farm gates in cattle country and crawling over the equipment multiple times in getting into the field I was going to work. Hope your choice works out for you but I would suggest to try and see what you are getting into before parting with the $$'s unless you have already given it a thought, Hal.

Today's Featured Article - Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
