I used to deliver sweet corn about 35 miles away in Kalamazoo everyday for about 4 years using one of my field picking trailers. It holds 6 bulk boxes inline and I had each one strapped. I had a SMV on it and used M-43 and not I-94.
Had a county mounty follow me most of the way and he never stopped me.
The Friday Tractors were built here. His son was a circus trapeze performer and there was a very tall trapeze sitting beside the office building. Back in the day a lot of people used the tractors to go to down shopping. You would always see at least one in the grocery store parking lot. I guess they went about 40mph or better.
