This 140 does not have a fast hitch on it. I would like to use a planter on the tractor. Is there a better way to mount one on it?
Naw, the worksaver is probably the best way to go. As Haas points out very well, they do have their limitations, but they work "okay" and are the best out there. I find the anti-sway brace to be the most annoying feature. It needs a quick disconnect for changing implements.
I have two Worksavers - one on my Super A for a finish mower; no problems with pto shaft angle - and another on my 140 for my Covington 1-row planter. Bought both used. First one I bought in 2007 for $275. Second one I bought this year for $200. Both in nice shape.
If your planter is a Covington (or like a Covington) you will need a very short toplink. Hope this information helps.
