I have a factory original paint (yellow) International 1966 140. My father bought it new at an International dealer and it says International on the original title. The s/n tag says McCormick Farmall 140 just like the OP and Red Mist but there is only INTERNATIONAL on the hood and a plain 140 on the rad housing. My belief is they were all born the same, with the same sequential tags--and only became Farmall or International as they received final paint and decals depending on specific dealer and color desired (there were a lot of yellow 140's for highway dept.'s at the time).
It sounds as though International went on the hood in either case, and the Farmall, if used, went only with the 140 on the rad.
